This webinar will provide an overview of the various types of state & local taxes collected and used by different forms of government in the State of Ohio, and the services and projects they support. The webinar is intended to simplify a complex topic, providing a baseline of understanding that can also serve as an example of how the same information can be communicated to each entity’s constituents. Intermediate Governmental Accounting Seminar  
July 14 & 15, 2026 - Dayton, Ohio 

This two-day seminar focuses on intermediate governmental accounting and financial reporting concepts, with an emphasis on preparing GAAP-based financial statements under the GASB 34 model. Participants will walk through key reporting components and common application issues, with opportunities to discuss real-world examples. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own government financial statements or a sample set to support practical discussion and address specific questions. 

The workshop is designed for state and local government fiscal officers, accounting staff, auditors, and public accountants who already have foundational experience with GAAP and governmental financial reporting and are looking to strengthen their working knowledge of GASB-based statements.
